Labor Day

Life not working is super boring. Ha! I never thought I would actually say that, however when you aren't accountable to a place of employment, it gets a little boring. Other than studying for the NCLEX (which i still have no idea when CA will let me take it...eek), I follow a pretty similar schedule everyday. Wake up, run/bike, coffee, email, library for a couple of hours, then beach until about 6pm, make dinner, more studying/uploading and ordering pictures from snapfish/tv/read/bed. Boring EXCEPT for the beach part. Lately, Amy and I have been venturing up and down San Diego County's wonderful coastline in search of new beaches. Granted, I have a beach within 4 blocks of my apartment however its exciting to see what else is out there. My current new place is in Encinitas, CA, about 20 minutes north. Encinitas sits on this insanely large bluff with the beach below, and it is quite possibly on the widest and flattest beaches I have ever visited. So life is not as exciting right now in california, but I do have orientation for work in a week! I think what is so difficult about moving out here a month before work started was the fact that committing to any sort of organization has been almost impossible. Working at a hospital with an unforgiving schedule is frustrating especially when there is so much to do out here. So instead of planning weeks in advance like the real world is accustomed to do, I instead have to plan only about a week in advance. Living in present moment (thanks visitation, i am finally forced into using salesian spirituality, oh well, i guess learning saintly like virtues will come in handy.) It's additionally aggravating when I want to know if i can go back east for the holidays, but again, I have no clue. So, thinking positively, if anyone wants to visit over the holidays, please please do! I am very excited that two friends from uva are coming to hang out right before xmas (the one thing I can plan ahead for, i guess), so I have some family to look forward to (love you guys!). Goal for this week is to take more pictures so I can show everyone how beautiful this place is; it's the one thing that never ceases to impress me about this place. Nature is crazy cool. Back to studying...i love it?! Ha. peace.
